Vocational Specialist
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or above in social services or related field
- Must be able to speak either Cantonese or Mandarin, preferably both
- Excellent networking skill with potential employers and resources required
- Knowledge or experience in local Chinese community resources
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Knowledge or experience in providing vocational services and social services, preferred
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner, or similar credentials preferred
- Experience in the mental health field, preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide vocational services to participants
- Provide employment training services (i.e. job search, job seeking skills, job interview practice) to program participants
- Develop jobs for program participants
- Build strong connection with the local community organizations, employers and resources
- Provide other recovery-oriented skill building services in groups
- Maintain quality paperwork and documentations according to OMH regulation and established HMH protocol
- Engage in research projects, outreach, and educational activities as assigned by supervisor
- Participate in program team meetings and relevant trainings
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours a week
