2004 The Annual Meeting on May 4th in the House's gymnasium at 50 Madison Street, celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the merge between Hamilton House and Madison House. Guest speakers who presented staff with their reflections on Hamilton-Madison House's history and accomplishments included: Geoffrey Weiner, Sr., a HMH board member, Tom McKenna & Harvey Newman, both past Executive Directors of HMH during the 60's and 70's, and Jean Talpert, whose father, Philip Schiff, was the Headworker at Madison House from 1934-1939.

2004 Volunteers that serve in Hamilton-Madison House's programs were honored in a recognition ceremony that celebrated their dedication and hard work during the past year.

2004 On May 21st, the House celebrated its 25th Annual Chinatown Banquet. The event honored Tsutomu Sawano Karino, Executive Driector & Secretary, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York, Inc., June Lee, Hamilton-Madison House Board Vice President and Antony Woo, Vice President of Construction, Battery Park City Authority.

2004 On May 27th, Ms. Fumi Raith, Supervisor of Counseling Services in Hamilton-Madison House's Japanese Clinic, received an award from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for providing 20 years of mental health services in the Japanese community.

2004 In June, staff and teens from HMH participated in a Celebration of Neighborhood Centers at the IFS Conference in Toronto.

2004 HMH merged its School Age Day Care and traditional After School Programs in September.

2004 In September, HMH created a new Department of Psychological Services (DPS) in its Behavioral Service Unit in an effort to fulfill the increasing need of services for Asian Americans in the Two Bridges/Chinatown community and throughout New York City.

2004 On October 1st and 2nd, HMH co-sponsored its first national conference with the New York Coalition for Asian American Mental Health and the Department of Psychiatry of NYU's School of Medicine on Asian Mental Health. The theme was "Overcoming Stigma in Asian American Mental Health."

2004 On October 28th, HMH celebrated its Third Annual Heritage Gala : A Celebration of Irish Heritage in America, held at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park. The three Irish American honorees were Desmond J. Burke, President of Firequench, Inc., Carol Higgins Clark, the best-selling mystery author, and Patricia Martin, a 2001 inductee into the Advertising Hall of Fame and a groundbreaker in the field of advertising.
