Annual Gala
On October 11, 2007, Hamilton-Madison
House hosted its sixth annual Gala at the Ritz-Carlton
Hotel at Battery Park. Over three hundred and thirty people
attended the event. The funds generated from the gala
support the House’s underfunded youth and adult
programs. This year's honoree was Paul McNulty of
Bank of New York Melon and the recipient of the Shirley
Chisholm Award for outstanding civic and community service
went to Congresswoman Nydia M. Velazquez. Gala

AIDS
Walk
The 21st Annual AIDS Walk New York took place on May 20, 2007. Twenty-Five individuals walked as part of our Hamilton-Madison House team coordinated by Thea Goodman and raised $1,900 to be used for HMH HIV prevention services in the form of hiring teen peer educators. Congratulations to all of our walkers.
28th
Annual Chinatown Banquet
On Friday, April 13, 2007, 875 Hamilton-Madison House friends, corporate sponsors, and staff attended the 28th Annual Chinatown Banquet. The event was held in Chinatown at Jing Fong restaurant. The evening’s activities included a ten-course Chinese dinner, awards presentation, 50/50 raffle, and dancing. Frank T. Modica, executive director of HMH, and Anthony Gorgio, HMH board vice president, shared the duty of being Master of Ceremonies. The festivities started with a welcome from HMH Board President Chi Chu to all those attending. Mr. Modica was honored to present the Louis & Anne Abrons Foundation with their award, and Mr. Chu presented James Halpin, senior vice president of Platinum Maintenance an award for his active support over the last few years. The third award was presented by HMH Board Vice President Victor Papa to Transfiguration Parish & Schools, which was accepted by Father Raymond Nobiletti. In addition, a special surprise award was given to Barry Marshall for “lifting the spirits of all whom attend the Chinatown Banquet.” He has been bartending the event for the past 20 years and has done a fantastic job!
