Executive Staff

Frank T. Modica, Executive Director – Mr. Modica a Licensed Master Social Worker has been the Executive Director of Hamilton-Madison House for 31 years. During his tenure, Hamilton-Madison House has grown from an operating budget of less than $1,100,000 to approximately $14 million. Mr. Modica is a member of boards of director on a number of local, national and international organizations including United Neighborhood Centers of America and International Federation of Settlements and Neighborhood Centers. He has been Chairman of the Board of Two Bridges Neighborhood Council for 24 years and has played a critical role in building 1,500 units of low and moderate income housing. The scope of social services that are provided, under his leadership, have adapted to meet the changing needs of the community.

Thea Goodman, Associate Executive Director – Ms. Goodman a Licensed Clinical Social Worker has been with Hamilton-Madison House for 22 years. Ms. Goodman oversees all children, youth and family-related programming. As a licensed Clinical Social Worker, Ms. Goodman and her staff ensure that program participants are provided with a foundation for future success. Ms. Goodman personally has been involved in many of the Lower East Side settlement houses and is invested in the long tradition of social services.

Peter Yee, Assistant Executive Director for Behavioral Health Services – Peter Yee, Assistant Executive Director for Behavioral Health Services– Mr. Yee a Licensed Master Social Worker joined the Hamilton-Madison House staff in July 2001. Mr. Yee is responsible for both the administrative and clinical aspects of Hamilton-Madison House’s Behavioral Health and Supportive Housing programs. Each year, over 19,000 clinical units are provided to more than 800 clients.

Isabel Ching, Assistant Executive Director for Senior Services – Ms. Ching a Licensed Master Social Worker supervises the Hamilton-Madison House's four senior sites and various services. She has been working at Hamilton-Madison House since 1996 at the City Hall Senior Center and worked with seniors in Brooklyn for 4 years. Ms. Ching has 14 years experience of working with seniors.

Laura Kollins, Administrative Director of Child CareLaura Kollins has been involved with non-profit child care service for 25 years.  Ms. Kollins has been with Hamilton-Madison House for 11 years providing services to 400 children under the age of 5.  The programs include Family Child Care, Toddler Child Care, Pre-School Child Care, Head Start, UPK and Private Care.  The most recent addition of services is Hamilton Madison School House located at 80 Beekman Street.

Illyse Kaplan, Director of Development – Ms. Kaplan has been with Hamilton-Madison House for eight years. Ms. Kaplan oversees private and government grant funding, public relations, annual fundraisers, publications and Web site development. Ms. Kaplan has 16 years of fundraising and development experience.

Linnit Lawton, Director of Human Resources – Ms. Lawton has been the Director of Human Resources since February 2000. Ms. Lawton has worked for Hamilton-Madison House for 18 years. Her previous positions have included Executive Assistant to Frank T. Modica, Development Assistant and Head Start Assistant. Ms. Lawton has dedicated her time as a parent volunteer at the Head Start program for four years prior to her employment at the House.

Louis J. Quitoni Jr., Chief Financial Officer – Mr. Quitoni has been with Hamilton-Madison House for 11 years. During his tenure, he has streamlined the financial management of the organization centralizing the entire fiscal operation and improved its cash flow system.
